Breast Lumps

According to Prof. Dr Zubairi Djoerban, KHOM., Professor of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology Medical Oncology at the University of Indonesia, in various countries, including Indonesia, the tendency of a woman to find a lump in her breast quite often. And symptoms also vary, can not feel anything until the pain stabbing. So what exactly is a lump in the breast?

Prof. Zubairi explained that lump in the breast can be divided in two: cancerous and non-cancerous. Lumps are not cancer itself divided again into the tumor and not the tumor. The tumor itself was divided again:

Simple cysts are fluid-filled sacs that can be enlarged and pain (usually before menstruation) and often occurs in women of childbearing age who are still menstruating.
Fibrocystic breasts can occur due to excessive growth of connective tissue of the breast that can be felt as a lump. In addition to the connective tissue, may be formed much fluid sacs (cysts) are generally benign.
Breast fibroadenoma is a benign breast tumors were palpable as squishy lump rubbery and easily moved, common in women who have undergone menopause.
Papilloma is a small benign tumors that grow in the mammary gland duct. If someone is suffering from papilloma, breast can issue a clear liquid redness due to blood mixed.
In medical science, is a tumor is growing all the excess tissue and form a mass buildup on any body part, can be benign or malignant. Malignant tumors are called cancer. While the tumor cyst is a fluid-filled sacs that form. So cysts can be called as a benign tumor. "In most cases of breast cysts, are not likely to become cancerous. But you do have to frequently perform regular breast self-check and control to the doctor every 6 months to 1 year, "said Zubairi.
